Why it matters…

The domestic rabbit is the 3rd most abandoned companion animal in the country. Having lost all natural instincts, they are not capable of surviving outside. Rabbits that are lucky enough to stay inside still face neglect, both innocent and deliberate.

Purchasing a live bunny for Easter or as a child’s gift may sound like an adorable idea. But it’s not. Rabbits are not easy-to-care-for, and are not “starter” pets for children. Sadly, many rabbits are discarded at shelters or worse, “set free” in the weeks & months following.

Please make sure to research, prior to adoption! Rabbits are a 10-12 year commitment.
